Looking for RAS hardware - hints?
I've been asked to look into starting a service that would provide users with access to a program we use via Internet Explorer. This service would provide these users dial-up access for this program.
I have read some of the white-papers on setting up an ISP and have been able to get just about everything priced and planned out. We'll have about 20 concurrent users come in through a 20 channel PRI line to the RAS server and use a Radius server to authenticate. The DNS would also be local, containing just the URL-IP entries for this particular program (preventing all other internet traffic). Our uplink provider is already in place with a data T1 line.
I have been looking at the RAS hardware and I am having some difficulty locating any recommendations on who/what to go with. Ascend is out, Cisco is too expensive, and I couldn't find squat through Livingston. I have started looking at 3Com's items.
Any recommendations on what to use (or who to use) for the incoming connection from the PRI line?
