what is the most stable MB/CPU monitor?

I have tried several MB/CPU programs to monitor my system, but they all run unstable, sometime motherboard monitor will show 38C then 2secs later shows 43C, then back down to 36.5????

same with speed of fans etc. I have also tried the program that came with my MB, K7N2 delta L series from MSI nForce 2 chipset 400 edition. Think it was PC alet 4 or something...they all run unstable (not smooth)

What is the best MB/CPU monitor I could run. Even sissoft sandra I use. But you have to open it up etc to get to system temps etc.

Thanks

I use SpeedFan 4.09 on my systems and the temp/voltage/fan speed readings have always seemed to be very stable and accurate.

Speedfan also has the ability to, if the motherboard supports it, control fan speed. Slowing them down or speeding them up automatically depending on system/cpu temperature readings.

It's also free

I downloaded the speed fan, but it seems to have 2 settings backwards, I have a temp of 38C which i know is cpu but it shows my other adjustable fan speed for it Example: 1544 rpm 38C
I know my cpu fan runs around 5400-5600 but it is matched up with temp of 30C which I know my cpu doesn't run that cold.?

any suggestions or is it just not compatible?

Forgot to mention, it doesn't do the readings in order. What I do is figure out which ones go with which, and then relabel them to match. If you go into configuration and do a slow double-click on the name of the reading, it will highlight it and allow you to type in a new name so that it's easier to tell what's what.

Here's what my readings look like in the system tray:

the thing I don't like about speedfan is it doesn't seem to start up with the PC. MBM 5 does...... unless there is a setting I am missing.

For the startup I went through the Start menu to the Speedfan menu and created a shortcut. I then dragged the shortcut from the original menu to the Startup menu. I also set Speedfan to start minimized
