Windows keeps reseting sound options.

I have a SBLive 5.1 PCI card that I have 4 speakers running off of it, 2 front & 2 back w/subwoofer.

I set it up through the control panel of windows to tell it that I have surround sound speakers and it works perfectly... But every so often, it resets itself back to desktop speakers, and I have to make the change again.

Is there any way to stop it from reverting back to 2 speakers, vice surround?

Don't know if it will help but have you tried setting it through the Creative Surround Mixer?

Are you using one or more hook up's for the speakers for front and rear/sub?
If not then try the surround mixer, are you using the latest drivers for it by the way?
It may not be a problem but couldn't hurt using them as well.
