Media I'm getting cable...YAY!!!!

I just couldn't take it anymore, at 700kbps I'm getting on my DSL it isn't worth the 50 bucks a month. And I just got a great offer from Adelphia. $14.95/mo for the first 3 months and then $56 a month after that, with free modem and free installation. I'm saving over $100 in the first 3 months so after 25 months I will still not have paid as much as if I had kept my DSL. The guy is supposed to come out next Friday and get me set up. And all of that without any contract, so I'm fricking free to cancel...unlike Earthlink which made me stay for a year to get 3 months for the price of one.......but I can't complain since I've been with them 2 more years since then.

Now, one question, will they let my D-link router work?

*when I/me is referred to payment, as in "I pay" or "I saved" substitute I/me with "my parents"

I'm so frigging happy.

Comcast I get it for $45 or $42 if I own the modem, since I already pay for cable tv it goes down in price.
Three dollars isn't much when it comes to monthly price, I just haven't had the money to buy one yet.
However now that qwest has went up in speed it is almost tempting to switch back for a 1.5mb/1mb, it will go down to 896k after awhile.
Since comcast had spread to more places around here and upped the download to 3Mb, qwest felt they had to compete because they are doing soo lowsy. Comcast has left the cap at 256k for the upstream so that is the only reason I would switch back to qwest.
I could live with the 1.5mb connection for the faster upload, damn comcast could give me full speed of the docsis 2.0 in my area since noone else even has it in my area of midvale.. lol
However comcast has been cutting peoples connections for over usage, so that other people get decent speed too. If comcast does that to me, I will deffinatly go back to qwest.
That is quite rude when they pay equally for their service and now do it as an almost unlimmited service, it's not the users fault comcast can't provide enough speed when they actually could but it's cheaper to punish the user for their incompetance. I'm starting to hate all my isp's in this area.
Qwest is starting to look good tho. They pushed the line to it's limmit, only otherway would be to go to sdsl or tdsl or even vdsl, however they are too cheap to do something like that, and sdsl would be a waste when you have a much faster interface like tdsl or vdsl which make sdsl seem slow. It's nice that qwest atleast tried giving their customers what they pay for and went down to $39.99, however you still have to use their modems, thankfully I still have a cisco modem

By they I assume you mean the cable company.

Some companies are picky about it - multiple connections and not getting money for it

You'll probably have to hook it up though as I doubt that they will.
