just built a 2700+ and the computer says its a Athlon xp 1500+
specs
Cpu Athlon XP 2700+ ( says it on the CPU)
Mobo- MSI Delta K7N2

Check your BIOS version. There may be an update to support the 2700 CPU.
Also the bus speed. Sometimes they need to be set manually on the mobo.

Umm.. My FSB is 100 MHZ.. What is it suppose to be?
there is 4 options,.. 100mhz,.. 133 mhz,.. 166 mhz,.. 200 mhz..

set it to 166
If it still isn't read correctly then update your bios like viz says
