VNC desktop music streams

Alright I wanna know how i can like stream the music directly from my remote computer to the computer im controlling it with. So i can hear it. Iv seen someone do this before, so i dont have to dl teh songs, they jsut get streamed to me. And without using anything like shoutcast. When he did it I also noticed he had a bunch of links to the files or somethign like that on his screen so he'd click one and it would stream, but basically what he did is got all his songs on his wnamp playlist (on the local computer, not remote one) and he'd click play on one and it'd select and start streaming it from the remote computer. How do i get that to work, or is it a certain program?

if its on your computer on your lan, then its easy, just use winamp, or whatever program to open the files..
the path will be something like

\\thor\d\music\song.mp3
thor being the name of the computer on the lan

you can make shortcuts to files, and you can load mp3s onto your winamp playlist that are on your lan as well
