If you're talking about this Newegg.com, then yes, they are completely trustworthy.

They consistently have one of the highest ratings here at ResellerRatings: Newegg.com Customer Ratings, Reviews and Prices at ResellerRatings

newegg.com

I have bought numerous items from them and have never been unhappy.
They are quick and very reliable. Their prices are very competitive.

In a word... "HELL YES".

Okay, two words.

Seriously, been shopping at NewEgg.com for years, built and rebuilt several PCs from parts obtained there. Rarely have needed to return items, but even that is a relatively pleasant/painless process.

I have trusted newegg for years. They worked very hard to keep their customers BUT. Now here is the but. in the past few months they have started going the way of tiger direct. REBATES. Newegg uses myrebates411.com and if you do a search you will find that they have a F rating with the BBB.
What i cant understand is why they would even offer rebates from that company. I started at newegg years ago when fedex was default shipper. They worked very hard over the years to improve customer relations. Never had rebates on their site either. Now in the past few months they offer a multitude of rebates like tiger direct does.
I see the advantage of rebates 1.by sending in a rebate newegg no longer has to deal with RMA once that rebate is applied for you cant return the product and warranty goes thru the maker of the product. Newegg is out of the loop.
2. They can blame the rebate center for any problems, i know i bought a sapphire 4850 with a 20. rebate and behold it got denied. I had to jump thru hoops and waster over an hour of my time to even apply for it. Emailed newegg they said reapply but you cant reapply, said i sent in wrong invoice well i sent the email or copy of that email that newegg sent me saying INVOICE. This is what i have noticed in the past few months.
Customers posting that it is to complicated to do all they want for the rebate, you must go to Enter Customer and fill out info to get a # to include with the rebate paper.
Customers posting that they get denied for any number of reasons.

What i dont understand is why a company that for years built their rep up doing all it took to be a good company all of a sudden joining with a BBB rated F rebate company. Didnt one of them mention in the meeting that it might hurt their rep by doing this.
Newegg gets more customers by word of mouth than any other way i myself have sent at least 7 people their way.
In the last 2 months i have heard neweggs name with rebates mentioned the same as tiger direct with rebates scam.
I beleive that newegg is doing alot of damage to their name by using this company, I myself look at buy.com and directron and others to get what i need first now. In the next month i need another 4850 and a few other items but will i deal with newegg at this point not if i have to deal with myrebates411.com. I guess you can buy from them safely if no rebated is offered but if it includes a rebate run fast go somewhere else.
4 emails later with newegg and still they cant fix rebate and honestly that 20. isnt worth the stress they have caused by it.
Complaints: Beware Of Rotten Newegg Rebate

Company Report

Decide for yourself. I lost my 20. and am no longer willing to jump thru the hoops and do this and that 2 much time and stress, they got me i leave it at that.

Still shop there of course but just not anything with myrebates411.

This is directly from the rebate site scary isnt it the about us section:

"These complaints come from consumers AND manufacturers alike; however, our research has uncovered an interesting fact…most complaints are based upon an opinion of what someone believes is, “fair”.

As a company we make every attempt to avoid that word "fair", because that word is primarily based upon someones opinion.

Opinions of fairness are in fact very misleading because they take on a different meaning depending upon whom you ask - the consumer - the manufacturer - the store - or the fulfillment company.

In reality, when you attempt to be fair to everyone - you end up being fair to no one. It is much like a referee in a football game. In every impartial decision he makes, one team wins and one team loses.

I guarantee you - the team that loses feels it is unfair. Therefore, our goal is simply to abide by ethical business practices... to do our best to provide mutually satisfactory solutions for the complicated needs of our customers and clients." (end quote)

Really scary avoid the word fair of course they have a F rating with the BBB so they really have to avoid it i just hope they dont bring down newegg with them. google myrebates411.com complaints.

When i bought my card it said 20 days from purchase date to send in well 12 days after i bought it i noticed newegg took down my rebate form and put a new one up for a different period so i know all the ones that bought it for 5 to 7 days after me couldnt find the right rebate form. Is newegg a part of this or was it an accident. Do your research and you decide.

This is from a newegg reveiwer:
Cons: Rebate process is terrible. As others have mentioned, there is a long, PITA process you have to go through and every step of the way they make it very clear that if you mess ANYTHING up you will not get your rebate. They seem very interested in screwing their customers over and keeping as much of the money as they can for themselves. If I had known that beforehand, I would have gladly paid an extra $20-25 for a Visiontek, which also have better warranties. More than anything else, I cannot stand companies that treat their customers poorly.

I think newegg is very honest and customer oriented. I also think once they notice what is going on they will take action. Do i still shop at newegg,, Durn right cause i know they take care of their customers.

They are an excellent company to deal with. Although, they are not what they used to be. It seems they overcharge on shipping for smaller items these days. It seems like yesterday when free FED EX 3 day shipping was normal (even on ATX towers).

You can count on them for painless RMA processing though.

Rebate hassle concluded satisfactorially by Newegg

I recently bought an item from Newegg.com that had a $15 rebate associated with it. I could not get the rebate processed online. I sent emails to Newegg and they responded to each request in a timely manner. After a few attempts to fix the problem, Newegg provided a $15 refund on the item. I think that this was good customer service. It was not pleasant trying to follow the rebate instructions and getting rejected each time but in the end Newegg did the right thing.

I've never had a bad transaction with this company. Since I live in NYC I always get my packages delivered in one or two days without paying for expedited shipping. I like that

YES, you can trust newegg.com. I have built 2 computers using newegg parts. The prices are reasonable and shipping is speedy. The products and prices were as described on their web store.
