The New Hypersonic
I just wanted to let people know that Hypersonic Computers has been bought by OCZ and they have really turned the company around. I bought an EX7 back in 2006...april of 2006 and only got the standard 1 year warranty...well my laptop really didnt perform worth a crap for a laptop costing over 4 grand.....back then the company was privatly owned and based in new york....the tech and customer support was horrible.....well after I read OXZ bought them...I contacted OCZ/ Hpersonic and Mr Sok who is in charge of tech support, he asked me to send the laptop back.....well I didnt have my Box so Mr Sok overnighted me one free. I sent my EX7 TO HIM....They kept it for about 3 weeks.....They also kept me informed of the progress by email and phone.
I got my EX7 back 3 days ago and they have done a great job of getting it to run like a top of the line gaming laptop should. Now they didnt have to do this because my warranty has been up for over a year, but they wanted to show me they (OCZ ) are not like the people who originaly owned Hypersonic.
I build my own Desktops but dont build laptops...anyway...I have a nice gaming desktop but this EX7 laptop now runs circles around my desktop...it plays all the newest games with the game setings on High and it smokes....it runs 20-30c cooler than it did when I first bought it. OCZ restored my faith in Hypersonic.
My EX7 is over 2 years old now and it works like a new laptop. I am very happy with OCZ/ Hypersonic support and service. I like buying from one dealer and now that 0CZ owns Hypersonic I believe I found a laptop dealer I can stick with. I have bought laptops from all the big companies like Dell...HP...Compaq....Gateway....even an Alienware and they all sucked when it came to support and service plus their machines didnt perform like advertised either.
I know many had problems with Hypersonic prior to 2008, myself included and I swore I would never buy another laptop from them again, but now I can honestly say I will buy another Hypersonic......I was looking at buying a new laptop within the next 3 months but after getting my EX7 back...I now will wait for about 12-18 months...no need to buy another laptop right now with this EX7 performing like it does.....even the demo to Crysis plays like a champ on this thing.
So if yall are looking to buy a great laptop backed up with top of the line support and service...Hypersonic is now that company after OCZ took over the helm.....they cost a bit more that Dell and those others but they are worth it...not proprietory built...no bloatware...no trial programs you dont need...they only install what you ask them to install and if you dont want anything..not even an OS instaled they will do that also.
Trust me Hypersonic under OCZ is top of the line..their ratings have taken a huge leap since they bough it and I belive if they keep doing what they are doing...they will be the bestgaming/ high end laptop company out their. So if you want a top of the line laptop with great support and service....give them a try....you wont be disapointed......
