longer URL's allowed?

Ok I admit sometimes I get a bit lazy...
SOMETIMES I use the URL button, and paste in a URL and typically I lose about half the text of the URL!

I think the allowed length of the URL is about 50 chars or so... come on now we've all seen some of these URL's that are ungodly long. 50 chars is NOTHING.

SOOO whats the odds of getting more chars allowed with the URL button?

As you can see "ut/html/global_assembly_cache_utility__gacutil_exe_.asp" is completely left out of the link because of the limit on the URL size.

granted its a lazy thing that I dont want to type out the code, but maybe hard for a new guy to understand that may not "get" using the code tags.
