Caching Problem?

Howdy..

I was under the impression that pages stored in the server cache only remained there for a few minutes... So, if I saw a page that wasn't updating since I last posted - I should just wait a few minutes and refresh and it should work okay.

However, that isn't the case for me. Sometimes it'll take hours, or even days before I see an updated version of some posts.

Is this normal? Has anyone else been having this problem?

I've checked thoroughly and am pretty sure it isn't a problem on my end - at least not with my home network. I'm familiar with my browser cache settings, and this is the only site that I experience the problem with. Either way, I'll keep a look out for settings on my end.

Thanks.

dunno, but if u need to see em, like I did today with a sales post that wasnt showing..you can click the forum name, then see the post there and it'll show the name of the last poster, you can click on it that way and sort of override the caching.

nope your not the only one that has the problem, but for me its more of an issue with firebird than with ie so I think[for me anyways] its a combo of both browser cache settings and the sites cache settings it really gets annoying one quick easy fix is to hit the "go to first unread post" link it will show all the posts

It happens to me too. Even stranger is that you can click 'printable version' and it magically works. This also seems to happen almost always at the first reply.

Happens here too... pretty annoying. Edited posts exhibit the same behavior sometimes... really makes for some interesting threads.

Had it happen with Starfurry posting but it was only him. I had to post to see what his post was. Kinda weird, haven't had it happen since
