i guess that was phrased weird, i wanted to put this:
as my avatar...but it is too large (in bytes). i know with other PhP forums there is an option that allows you to link it to be your avatar.
It's probably not allowed because it'd be too difficult to keep control over the file size of the avatars.
Besides, that's part of the challenge of making a good avatar, is getting it shrunk down to an acceptable size. Come ask in the graphics forum maybe we can give you some tips to making it smaller.
yes its so 56k'ers don't get butchered, and ALL of us don't get butchered by some dolt putting their 300k avatar on a 128k upstream pipe from their box at home
