Well, this can be solved easily enough. I do have the ability to hand write all news posts, but the content rate will drop back to under 20 full posts per day as when I first started. All news will verfied against press releases and mass media reports, then conveyed in my own writing style.
Then any daily hardware reviews and low-priority news will become packaged within a single post with simple links to the articles. Sound decent enough? I hope so, as I will probably be enacting this policy starting tomorrow.
However, please understand that if I opt for this news methodology, any news submissions will be highly edited, plus my content will be more inline with my areas of expertise: hardware engineering, 3D technologies, etc.
As to article content, I need feedback on topicalities. As many have noted over the years, my best works have been with technology previews and in-depth technical analysis. I have no problem returning to these types of articles, but I need to know there will atleast be a minimal amount of interest before spending 20+ hours of my time to research and write a typical technical analysis article.
The reason I ask, is that I had two distinct camps at SysOpt. Many wanted nothing but reviews. They rarely read any tech-related articles, and thus the interest generated in my work was primarily from outside the community.
At this point, TechIMO is a part-time venture in regards to my efforts, so I must balance the static content and verification checks according my schedule.
If I had the resources to devote a full 8+ hours a day to TechIMO I definitely would, but I do have to pay the bills somewhere along the way in life.

I think many people fail to realize this aspect.
Another potential solution... how about someone actually submitting a few news stories? I certainly can not read every news story for every area of interest out there. I am already averaging 100+ per day for just primary hardware and general web-related topics. For instance, some gaming news would be nice for a change.
Many sites have a part-time managing news editor with multiple voluntary staff members posting news. Anyone want to sign up? I am more than willing to devote my time and effort to helping this community, but I could also use some help at times from others as well. Anyone willing to step up and help support our community?
Ultimately, I would like to implement a CNET style news system, but this change will require a significant amount of coding and development work to restructure both the front-page and content management systems. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
And finally, I do have an email address for feedback and comments:
editor@techimo.com While I advertise this fact often, plus seek direct feedback, I receive less than five pertinent emails per week pertaining to TechIMO operations from community members. Am I that unapproachable? I have been here for nearly five years, one would think people know and trust me by now...
