Software Reviews members read and vote!

Along the lines of some others, that I noticed that have the same idea as me, Software reviews would be great! I have already emailed the team with the idea and Scott as well. What do the rest of you guys think? I orginally posted this in the gaming section accidentally.

Dear Scott,
I am member of your site, under johndenverx, I noticed in your user-review section that something seemed to be missing that you do in fact allow people to discuss on forums. That would be the fact there is no section to allow users to review software materials, such as programs such as FrontPage, Excel, Morpheus, Media player. And such game programs such as online and offline computer games, ex. Everquest, Half-life etc. I think it would greatly expand the site if so were to be done.

I'm not sure I understand completely what your asking for either - I saw your other note - I figure that aplications are covered but maybe what your referrring to is more of a review - of the software - thumbs up and down - that kind of idea -

There you go wizofid, you got it right. Yes, a thumbs up or thumbs down review for software products. Apparently I didn't convey my meaning in too obivious a way. Yes the idea is for members to be able to give their opinion on a software product, much they way they do on the hardware, which is under the user-reviews section of the site.

I replied to johndenverx via email about this. TechIMO will be rolling out a new design and layout in about a week. Hardware, Web Dev, and Gaming, will each have their own 'home page', and the user reviews section will enable software reviews.
