Threadcrapping in Trader's Forum

I've noticed alot of threadcrapping in the Trader's Forum lately. Can anything be done to help sellers keep from being undermined? When you're trying to sell something it seems somebody comes along and states that they can get it cheaper somewhere else. That's great, why can't they PM the seller and let them know of they're price discrepency or just go where they stated and get it there instead? I can almost understand a newbie not knowing the rules yet but it seems they're not the only ones. Is some type of disciplinary action warranted like a temporary suspension from TechIMO? Maybe I'm just venting but it has happened alot lately.

I dont trade but I see your point when and if you are trying to sell something and someone posts a cheaper price that would upset me also.

On the internet, everyone is a genius and a macho man etc etc....everyone wants to tell how brilliant they are and show how much they know...thats why people love to threadcrap.

But if it specifically says dont post lower prices or threadcrap in the traders forum, then peeps out to have a nice little one day ban for doing it, then after that they can do it again and get banned for good.

Its one thing if peeps are in a forum whining about politics or east coast/west coast or my chevy beats your ford etc...its another thing when peeps are trying to conduct business.

I would think that if I owned a store and someone came up and told someone who was in line to buy something that they could go down the road and get it cheaper...I would tell the guy who told the lower price that he was not welcome in the store anymore.

If this occurs, feel free to report the thread/post to a moderator for resolution. TechIMO strives to provide a professional trading atmosphere, and threadcrapping on a member's sales post does not support this policy. Pricing should be respected at all times, regardless of the price tag associated with a sales offer.

Didn't mean that the mods aren't doing their jobs. My point is about the lack of coutesy from users who threadcrap with the apparently explicit attempt to undermine a sale/trade. I have been treated well and fair when threadcrapping myself. Just something I've noticed lately and it's a little frustrating. It's happened to others FS/FT threads, not my own. TechIMO is a great place to sell your wares it's just the occasional(getting more frequent though) person telling others where they got an item cheaper or what Pricewatch lists it at. Pricewatch is a guide and nothing more. Wouldn't trust my money to half the vendors listed there. Especially the low priced ones usually. I use resellerratings to check before I buy due to a pricewatch nightmare I had some time ago. This is how I stumbled across resellerratings and TechIMO. Glad I did. Have had no reason to change forums or use any other. Have found many reputable vendors thanks to this place. I'm happy here and enjoy the help I get when needed and the Trader's Forum when I have something I need to sell or as a place to buy something I'm looking for. Just venting a little frustration. Sorry if anyone is offended.

RobRich, I have reported threadcrapping before and it has been taken care of promptly. Have had help when dealing with Trolls as well. Mods have gone the extra mile for me and I appreciate it. Thanks.

That is against the rules. Please report anything like that. No comments are necessary that don't pertain to the sale of the item. Whether it's an attempt to undermine or just unnecessary talk. Thread craps are against the rules and I promise if you let me know I'll take care of it ASAP.
