View all subscribed threads problem?
I was trying to find a thread I had replied to a while back. So, I went to 'user cp' and set the dropdown box to show all threads from 'the beginning'
It showed the first page fine, but when I clicked to go to page 2, it gave me this: Quote:
There seems to have been a slight problem with the TechIMO Forums database.
Please try again by pressing the refresh button in your browser.
An E-Mail has been dispatched to our Technical Staff, who you can also contact if the problem persists.
We apologise for any inconvenience.
| Has anyone else had this problem? I also tried setting the dropdown box to show from a week, 30 days, 100 days, all to no avail. Same Problem.
Any help is appreciated!
David

I definitely saw this last night (14 March '03)
I've also seen something (possibly) related, where I used the "search" function. The "navigation" at the bottom of pages 5 and 7 (of 23 pages) were missing! There was no "next", or any other page numbers. Just blank..

Yeah, I noticed this a couple of weeks ago. Actually I noticed both of them. I hope that the admin will fix this.

Well, just tried this again, and the same message came up again.
Anybody know what's wrong?

The feature works for me. Are you still experiencing problems?

Yes, I still get this error: Code:
There seems to have been a slight problem with the TechIMO Forums database.

On both ResellerRatings and TechIMO, and regardless of whether I select view thread from 1 week, or 1 month, or from the begining.
Also, I've tried this in Mozilla 1.3, IE 6, Konqueror 3.1.0, all with the same results. I've tried clearing cache, changing IPs and trying a different computer. Still the same result.
I can't figure it out, especially if you don't have that problem and I do...

Well whadda ya know!
I haven't used the subscribe to threads feature since my email box got overwhelmed one time.
But I just tried what David had a problem with, and got exactly the same message when trying to go to Page 2 of my old list.
Obviously I can only use the from the beginning option in the drop down list, as I haven't subscribed to anything for a while now.
Is definitely a replicable error, Could someone post an error report to Scott, please? Or at least explain why this feature doesn't work for us.
Thanks
Mick

Thanks for trying that out, Mick. Doesn't it automatically subscribe you to the thread if you post in it? Maybe that's just how I have my user account set up. Anyway, just tried it again, still nothing. First page works fine, regardless of how I set it(i.e., from the begining, one week, one month). But, I can't go to the second page or any pages after page 1. I've been having to go search for threads by user and while it does work, it's not that efficient, and takes a while to view. Thanks for any info regarding this!

Still not sure why it is happening, but I will send an error report to Scott right now.
