Intended use of the gallery

There is obviously someone using the photo gallery to host pictures of items being sold on ebay or some other site. Is this the intended use of the gallery, to host pictures to be hot linked on other sites?

It would seem to me that wastes a lot of TechIMO bandwidth and slows this place down for ALL of us.

What are you talking about? Posing in the gallery is not a very difficult thing to do. At least not for anyone with a triple digit IQ.

I have conferred with others, and it appears the official take on this issue is that users are currently allowed to post images for resale, trade, etc. to the photo gallery; but only for the TechIMO trader's forum!

BTW, anyone found leaching TechIMO bandwidth for selling items at other sites like Ebay can expect swift adminstrative action to be taken in the form of account probation or removal.
