Criteria for getting your images on the front page?
Alright let's go through this one more time. Actually since it's NEVER been explained in spite of the question being asked numerous times by numerous members, let's just go through it once. What criteria must be met for an image posted in the gallery to be shown on the front page?

notice how my pix are there until someone blows their nose? then theyre gone.

A lot of people have been wondering the same thing for a very LONG time. Won't Warthog be surprised if he ever decides to come back and finds out this issue is STILL unresolved.

To be honest, that's why I stopped posting up pictures...not that I'm trying to be "the judge", but often times the front page is filled with nonsense pictures (IMO) and/or multiple pictures by the same user.

It is random. Looking at the categories of photos on the front page, any categories images can be put on the front page. The mods who approve the pics have no options to determine if the image is placed there or not. I approved two images from other members and both went to the front page without my doing anything special. I uploaded a couple of test images myself and neither went to the front page.
So, it is a random function of the Photopost's software as it interfaces with the vBulletin software.

to bad, while I do see some cool ones once in a while, I really liked it before where it seemed to be desktop screenshots, user mad pics, and pics of systems! Daveleau would there be a way so people could set a criterea of what they would like displayed?? Say I want to see desktop screenshots or highest rated pics. That probably would effect the server to much though. I'd rather just have random stuff then slow IMO.

Unfortunatly it's not random enough.  The pictures are not rotating fast enough. I wish it hadn't been changed myself. Sure sometimes zillions of pictures showed up with on submitter but it was better than what it is now.

I agree with Surreal... it's not random enough. I've only posted four of five pictures, but none of them have ever hit the front page... even for a few hours. I would understand if my pictures were getting bumped off the front page by newer posts, but they aren't. Other pictures seem to linger on the front page day after day even though there are newer pictures in the gallery.
