why doesnt support this Forum SWF files??

You mean why they don't display?

LOTS of reasons. #1 reason for me, is because SWF supports sound and I don't want to listen to your SWF files and I especially don't want to listen to multiple SWF files on the same page.

That's definately the #1 reason for me, as well...

SWF files can also house ActiveScript, which can be pretty powerful (and subsequently pretty damaging). I could upload an SWF that launches 100 popups, or submits information about you.

That's not really an issue because SWF can be very smal indeed.

I despise Flash in the first place... this forums policy (to not allow swf) pleases me, so I will not see wiggely screwy slippy slidey zoomey flashy junk. Text will convey technical data better than Flash. And as xenon200 posted, I'd rather not suffer with the practical joker who posts a flash that pops dozens of windows or otherwise terrorizes my browser session. IMO, better to not have it here in the first place. If you're in need of having someone critique your work, post a link to your own site, ask us to go there. Well, do not ask me, of course.... I mean ask everyone else BUT me. Another idea - aren't there other forum sites you can get involved in, that are totally focused on such eye-candy? After all, Flash is such a small portion of this forums focus, you'd be better off posting Flash content in a different forum.

yeah sound problems perhaps we should not allow sound SWF's? (hard to control!)

what about a link to a SWF but still in this forum?

yup, but i dont like them when theyre too short. i'll take my SWF at 5' 3" and up.
