Security Only?

Has it been suggested that we have a "Security" area?

I've become fascinated by this as of late. There is so much useful information out there, seems a shame to hoard it all to myself.

I actually think that a security forum would be good.

Like when slapper got announced, I posted it in the Apache/IIS forum. It got a whole like 5 reads since no one views that forum.

Having it in the security forum would be better as more people would be apt to read that IMO, or at least glance at it.

Great idea, security is so important, but would there enough news/debate to support such a forum?

Perhaps the hot set-up would be to create it, but attach it to an existing forum.

You gotta figure Knot, it wouldn't be restricted to just Winblows. Security is everywhere. It's the way of the future . . . or play Mortal Kombat with a friend in Vietnam.

I think this is a pretty good idea! I like helping people with security concerns, and I think there would probably be enough threads to have it's own forum. Or at least like what knot suggested... have it a sub-forum. Security can be very interesting... As long as people wouldn't start talking about cracks and stuff, it might work.

I agree with EvilRick:

Security, sooner or later, will be essential to computers. I'm involved with tracking down hackers and reporting them, and let me tell you... There is/needs to be alot of improvement in the security field...

Again, I hope some of the mods and admin check this out. I think it would be a neat thing if they would add this to an already great techimo!
