Message Tracking

How about the option to turn off message tracking in the PMs. I never use it,and find it mostly annoying.
What do you think??

I think that is a fine idea, I have often wished that myself only because i forget to clean out the tracking.

I think should have option to user if want message tracking or not.

Well, I agree with that statement anyway. I like tracking, and use it frequently.

Yes that is why i stated it that way, because for some I like the tracking and others I don't. Depends on who im sending a pm to.

So how do we go about getting this idea implimented? Most times they don't even bother with majority of the suggestions even if they are valid and reasonable.

Hmm .. before sending your PM, did you try to uncheck the last option :

*Automatically parse URLs: automatically adds [url] and [/ url] around internet addresses.

*Show Signature: include your profile signature. Only registered users may have signatures.

*Save a copy: Also save a copy in the 'Sent Items' folder.

*Request Read Receipt: Allows you to check whether your message has been read by the recipient.

Is that what you're asking for, BC?

I `m sure that the last option will stop message tracking when unchecked, or is it something else we're talking here.

Regards

Nice idea.

There is probably already a fix for this - vBulletin has lots of forums and many are enhanced in house.

So it shouldn't be hard. Just email (NOT PM - he said he doesn't read 'em!! ) ScottW and ask him to please look into it (please being the important word! ). He (or his henchmen) will check and see if it can be done without busting the database.

Cheers
Mick

Be nice not to have to uncheck the box everytime, though. I tend to forget.
