The member gallery used to indicate who last commented on a photo and the date.
What happened? Can that feature be put back?
Secondly just on the general topic of posting performance.
I have recently been visiting a site that allows you to choose where you go after a post.
the splash screen that confirms your post then starts a timer and indicates two links. One to return to the thread and one to return to your post. That kinda seemed cool and made posting nicer. If I posted I know my words are likely to be the last words in the thread so I usually will go back to the forum.
Would that be possible and or would it be a good idea.
Perhaps it's because Scott had to change the code so that members did not get a post added to their post count when they made a comment or gave a photo a rating. It was discovered some members were abusing that feature to artificially inflate their post count by just giving photos a comment or even less a rating. Looks like they have spoiled that feature for all of us.
Since you are also including a suggestion, I'm going to move this to The Suggestion Box Forum.
we don't get post count for photo comments anymore?
Well that sucks lol.. but understood :/
I've seen that as well epi, it'd be good for 56k users as well, one less page to load.

I am sooo spoiled. I forgot about the 56 k user. Thanks that is a good point.
Revised request.

This would not only make posting nicer but it would save valuable bandwidth for the server and the poor 56k users.
