Can we NOT allow "Unregistered" users in the gallery??
Someone who is "Unregistered" is crapping up the gallery
A rude post in my shotgun pic and in the pic of BC's wife
I don't think "Unregistered" uhh "members" should have the priviledge of posting in the Gallery anyway. It's not like it's THAT hard to register, c'mon...

I just checked those out Wart...but won't it be just as easy for somebody to create a registered name and do the exact same thing?
What a shame that people have to do things like that... |

Yeah I saw the same thing in the Riot gun comments. Its a bit lame to post those critisms and don't sign your name with it.
BTW, I haven't been much in the gallery, but I see many changes are made since the last time I visited. Added smilies (I was missing that in the older version) and nice slideshow feature.

I agree, those posts were immature and rude. make them provide an email and maybe they wont take cheap shots so much.

It definately takes more effort to fill out a registration form than to just post...I suppose it depends how far the would be offender is willing to go to spam the board.
Question...if you register here, does it send an email to your addy that you have to click on to "activate" your account (some forums do that)? That would make even more of a process to register, possibly putting off a spammer.
Luckly, problems like this are few and far between...quite rare actually. I still don't like to see it happen.

I don't blame you for being upset, people should have to be registered to post there, just like you have to be here in the regular forum.

Yes it can be done Warty. I run the PP gallery software at my site too and I make people register. (uses the Forum's registration process..so they MUST put in a valid email address and then activate after getting the email...until then they cant post.) I personally dont like anon posting either

I agree Warty
If ya got something to say, be a man about it(no pun) and say it to my face. Put an ID or e-mail there. PM me.Not regestering to me is the same as talking behind my back.IMO.I'm not mad because someone posted thier opinion, but they should be big enough a person to stand behind thier statement
Mntsnow, I think it's a good idea to have to register to post, keeps down the nonsense a bit.
Shoot they were prolly just jealous anyway

Saw the comments, completely uncalled for.
Yeah, the gallery should be a members only thing.

The comments made in both of the galleries are against the forum rules anyway. There definitely ought to be something done to prevent this from happening, or prevent repeats from the same IP address(es) anyway. If a member made those comments, they would run the risk of being banned. Quote:
You will not behave in an abusive or hateful manner, and will not harass, threaten, or attack anyone, whether implied or expressed. This is strictly enforced.
You will not use profane, vulgar, or obscene language nor post content that is vulgar, obscene, profane, sexually oriented or sexually suggestive, nor will you link to sites or pages with related content. Said language or content will be removed without notice.
