Review - Am I doing Something Wrong?

First: You are doing a great job at TechIMO and I enjoy and appreciate this forum!

Second: I began to post a (new - not previously reviewed) review of the Matrox Parhelia vidcard. I had just begun typing when I accidentally clicked a "hot spot" and the half written "review" was submitted. I wrote to the contact address at the bottom of the page regarding my mistake and requested a solution ... Hey, I didn't want to suffer the embarrassment of a partially completed review being posted! (I'm a lawyer, but I'm still a small part human ... say 13%?) I didn't receive any email response to my emailed concern.

After a few days I checked the User Reviews and my half-done review had not been posted ("whew") so I attempted again. I submitted it and received the message (paraphrasing): "The review for that product has already been submitted." So I began again, this time entitling the User Review "Matrox Parhelia 512." I then submitted the latter "complete" review ... That was roughly a week ago.

It has not shown up yet. Am I doing something wrong?

Brangwen (and others who have submitted reviews): The past couple of months have been nuts. I moved to CA recently and have been trying to get everything in order. I'm on dialup too, though I'm remedying that soon (I think). Anyway, I haven't had a chance to approve user reviews of new products. I will see if the mods would be interested in doing it, otherwise there will be quite a backlog of reviews of new products to go through when I have more time. The reviews are appreciated. I will post about it again when the backlog has been approved, in case you want to wait until then to submit any more new products (reviews of existing products are approved right away).

Thank you, Scott, for responding. "Socalgal" communicated to me that she was going to contact you. I had no idea of your circumstances, e.g., moving.

If there is anything I - as a computer enthusiast - could do to help, let me know. I am not a professional computer builder, repairer or programmer. I'm an attorney who happens to enjoy building and repairing (and tweaking!) computers! I would be happy to help if you deem me qualified to do so. In any event thank you for the explanation.

How about letting us know these things in some sort of "Resellerratings News" section...so we know what's going on...like you moving and no reviews will be posted for "a while" (that sounds ominously vague)?

Let us know...people write reviews and they're not posted, then they write another thinking the first didn't get logged but find out it did...all that shouldn't be necessary.

Please keep us informed and the site updated...by SOMEONE!
