Searching the forums
I'm having a hard time finding threads I know are here; the search engine doesn't seem to be very good. I have better luck using Google to find something in TechIMO than I do using the site search engine itself. Can something be done to improve this?

Unless there is a hack for it, I would think that is more a task to be put on vBulletin. It maybe a bit of work to get the search feature improved.
The search here, is still far better than Microsoft's

The only big problem I have with the forum search is the lack of phrase support, like "clocking is good". Searching for "clocking AND good" is not as correct.
Other than that it's very slow when searching multiple things (username + words). Still faster than Microsloth's, though.
Cheers

This is sort of a bump; lately, the search function hasn't been working at all. What needs to be done? Today, I see that Quote: |
The search function has been disabled by the administrator.
| Hope that means they're fixing it rather than abandoning it.

I think it was rported to admins last night, or this morning Theo. I saw it in a thread.
I think I'm spending too much time here

This no search function is really starting to be a bummer.
But here's a tip; I've had good luck by putting my search terms into Google and adding the word TechIMO to the search. So far it's worked everytime.
