ClubMed is on a distinguished road

I hope this has not been mentioned before. But I am sure we have many programmers amongst us.

How about a forum where members can upload useful or interesting applications they have written?

Obviously there would have to be limitation in size. But would this appeal to anyone?

CM.

It certainly does appeal to me CM, I have no programming skills whatsoever! It would be great to see what people have come up with...plus it can be used for us non-proggie folks to ask for help. Example: I need a program that can calculate the interest on my loan over so many years, blah blah blah...you get the picture. I'm sure it would be a very useful forum, good idea!

You could always request something on the programming forums maybe... I have a few little progs that my friends seem to like for cataloging files (read 4,000+ MP3s) and such. It is a meritable idea, clubmed. The server space might be something Scott might not want to tangle with though.

Anyone need to know the City, State, Latitude, & Longitude for a given US Zipcode? That's the only thing I've written on a PC that I still have.... Wrote that in MicroFocus COBOL. (I'm a mainframe COBOL d00d)

Hmmmm
One concern is if its a compiled app people maybe a bit leary about running something on their machine somebody else wrote w/o knowing what else may lurk underneath.
Granted most people around here are good folks, but what if a new user wanted to post up something?
People may not be as willing to try out his/her app.
So do we make a requirement that source is posted up as well in a zip file?

Personally I like the include source idea, so I can learn how others write and maybe learn a few tricks

Martoch - That's just one program actually. I was working on it to make it write out either plain text, or in HTML (don't think I finished the HTML version yet). If you want a customized version, PM the details.
