About user reviews
I just did a couple reviews of motherboards and noticed an issue or two. But first of all I'd like to apologize for not spending the time to do more reviews and would like to encourage the rest of you members to take a few minutes and review some of your latest purchases. You'll be helping us all by doing so.
One of the things I noticed after giving the reviews was my moniker. It is still labeling me as a "Scary Member", but I haven't been a Scary Member for some time. I'm now a "Free Thinker" (and who knows how long that'll last ).
The other item I noticed is of slightly more importance IMO. In my review I gave the product a rating of "excellent". Yet reading the review no one would ever know I gave that rating because it says "very good". Maybe very good and excellent are the same in this rating system (but in my mind they're not).
Also, the other rating of the same product is also "very good" yet the overall rating for the product says "good". How's that figured? Two "very good" reviews (which I imagine are actually two "excellent" reviews) average out to only a "good" review? That doesn't seem right.
(Just fyi I'm referring to my review of the Soyo Dragon Plus. I also reviewed the ICS K7S5A.)
And I reiterate, PEOPLE, PLEASE DO MORE USER REVIEWS. |

Hmm, well I got alot of help from user reviews, so I want to contribute by reviewing my case, but everytime I try to review and unlisted item I get the login screen, and I can't log in.
Is there anything special I need to do?

Mr. Purple, make sure you have cookies enabled in your TechIMO control panel. That may clear it up.
edit: I've done a few reviews: case, couple of Mobos, mouse, keyboard, trying to do what I can here

REVIEWS HAVE TO BE POSTED IMMEDIATELY!
Yes, I am shouting. I am very disappointed that some people here have reported that their reviews are not showing up.
Get the software fixed for god's sake and stop the nonsense!
People who take the time to rate/write need to be RESPECTED and have their input posted immediately, not later and not lost or some other lame excuse.
This was the OLD RR and that was a disgrace. If it's happening again, then let us all know right here and now so we can look elsewhere for well-maintained/current and complete vendor ratings.
I've been through this before at the old RR and don't want to deal with it again here.

HeellloooOOOoooo!!! Its me, 'Dunbar the pest' again!
With my blinking cookies set for automatic login (and it worked that way), I went to add a user review on my CDRW drive.
When I clicked ' Review an Unlisted Product', I got 'TechIMO Photo Gallery Login'.
That is saying I was not logged in ('You are not logged in'). I enter my credentials, it sends me a new 'You are not logged in' screen.
Somehow, someway, dunbar is not the only perpetrator of cookie crimes! ;-)
Hope this message is not misconstrued, I am seriously reporting an actual failure, but not upset.
EDIT:
FWIW, I'm having browser related problems elsewhere, so my angle might be Opera 6.04.... I'll go test with IE in a few moments.
EDITed via IE 5.0
EDIT: nope, IE 5.0 was the exact same as Opera, only it was slow enough that after I 'logged in', I saw a screen after clicking login, which screen said IIRC, 'you are now logged in, dunbar...', then whoosh, a new screen saying 'you are not logged in'.
Maybe my companies firewall is flipping your software out?
