Profile suggestion...

Hey guys, i dunno if this is even possible, but i've attached something i done in a photo editor (obviously).

Would it be possible to display users PC info like in the pic? Obviously people with more than 1 PC would put in their main PC or their favourite PC or something.....

What do ya's reckon?

IMO it is not a very good idea ... as no one needs his PC info to be presented all the time ...

i know where ya comming from, but no one "needs" all the animated smilies, or avatars, or user status etc..... They are just extra goodies. I just thought some people might like this as an extra.

Opinions notwithstanding, I doubt Scott will allow it because if it's visible in the UN area on forum pages it would take up too much space.

However, I'd venture to say you could put this info in the "Bio" section of your Profile and this would be OK since it won't be visible the UN area on the forum pages, yet visible in your Profile.

I think the best way would be either a new section in the profile (partly because the bio shows in gallery posts) or a "specs" button next to the profile, pm, buddy, gallery buttons.

On forums that allow sigs I do this:

I think a specs button like with the www, pm and others would be helpfull, It would help because alot of times people forgot to post what the system specs are or what they are running.

The specs button does have its merits..
"I'm having a problem with xyz, you can see the specs of my PC in my profile... click the "specs" button to see it"

I have seen numerious requests for specs here and it would be easy if you could just click a link to find out.

But if you get alot of people placing there specs up here it may fill up the data base a fair bit based on what i would like to write about my box

And i would like to add if you could discard all costs and limits is a pic in the specs area.

really though.. i dont see a point.. since most of you guys have so many computers..
