IMO, this fits nicely under apps and operating systems. If you get too many forums, esp ones that aren't everyday forums, then you will get dead forums. There is plent of space in Apps and OPerating systems to accomidate software discussion along with the OSes. It seems to work great to me But then again others may not feel the same.
I agree with Krohnjw... However, you could start a thread in the Apps forum titled FreeWare/ShareWare and ask members to submit their finds with a link and little explanation. 'Fraid I have to agree with Mortis and krohnjw on this one. Too many forums could be a bad thing. I do like the idea of having a Freeware/Shareware sticky though. I'd probably look at that one allot, especially when it partains to Linux software. There's just so much Linux software out there when you go to look for something it's like drinking from a firehose. You're overwhelmed..
