Spoiler tag?

Can we get a spolier tag so that we can hide text in the messages that may contain spoiler information for movies and shows and such?

hmmm I think that's a pretty cool idea...
I'm just not sure how complicated that would be to code...

I think when a member put "spoiler" in the thread subject or the top of the post .. then we have no problem .. and it should work as a tag without any software modification..

Kinda like in this forum that I have visited about movies & home theater in general...

Be aware that this thread has spoiler information about the new Star Wars film.
http://www.hometheaterforum.com/htfo...&pagenumber=67

You will see a blacked out portion with the caption "Spoiler" that only shows up if you highlight the text.

It almost looks like they are using the same forum software. Not too sure about that but the buttons are similar as is the control panel.

they are using a newer version of Vbulletin but to me it really only looks like it was done with a background color change.. resulting in you have to highlight the text to read it...

kinda like this.. highlight between arrows you'll get the idea
>>> testing:can you read this? <<<

[edit] can't seem to get it perfect but you ge tthe idea....[/edit]

Send a message via ICQ to Barney
It would be very easy to make a "spoiler tag" that turns text into the background color, but the question is if the admins think it would be a good idea to implement it.
