UPS/FedEx/USPS/DHL, they're all listed but very few reviews because most people don't think of rating them... If there was more reviews on these shipping companies, it would help sellers pick the best as their primary shipper and also let customers know if it's worth paying a couple dollars more for a different shipper... To get more reviews you could ask the user if they'd like to leave a review of the shipping company after they finish submitting a review of the reseller.

Dan, good to have you hear, at RR...

I just experienced a bad delivery from UPS.. That being said, most of their deliveries have been fine..

Federal Express, has never been a problem with the exception of ground delivery to hinterland Wisconsin..

All in all and considing their volume, I would rate both companies, based on my use of them, as good to excellent...

UPS Mail Innovations...not so much

My first few experiences with UPS Mail Innovations have been a nightmare. I currently have 3 separate shipments coming from 3 separate vendors, with 3 different issues.

The first shipment: Tracking information is unavailable. The Mail Innovations website says to email them if tracking information is unavailable after 48 hours. I gave it 3 days, but still no information, so I emailed them. I received a reply the following day that states it might take up to 3 days for the seller to get the item to UPS, and to contact the seller if it has exceeded that timeframe. I contacted the seller, who claims to have delivered the package the day after the order, which is now 3 days ago, and the seller has been charged by UPS for the shipment. I replied back to the UPS email, but haven't received a response yet.

Second: Tracking info shows the package delivered to UPS sorting facility 3 days ago, with no further updates. I emailed, and the response was "once the package reaches the local USPS hand-off site, the package can't be tracked." I live in southeast Iowa, and the UPS sorting facility listed is Salt Lake City...hardly the local USPS.

Third: Tracking info shows the package received at the UPS sorting facility in Des Moines, IA, and then leaving the facility 3 days ago. Des Moines is 115 miles from my town. No further updates are listed.

*Edit: I just want to add that UPS itself has ALWAYS gone above and beyond for me. I choose UPS whenever and wherever I can, and wouldn't mind paying a little extra to go UPS over FedEx if needed (but I usually don't have to). This poor experience is specifically with UPS Mail Innovations, and with sellers who choose to use them at their discretion instead of customer choice. In the second case above, I had ordered three items from that particular seller that were broken up into three separate shipments by the seller. One item shipped out that same day via UPS, and has been delivered. A second item shipped out the next day via UPS, and has been delivered. The third item supposedly shipped out that second day, and it apparently in limbo somewhere.

bigjohnzzz is infamous around these parts
My experience has been that UPS will beat the sh*t out of any large, heavy package. But perhaps that can be said for anyone who is not a trucking service.

My biggest complaint about UPS is that when you must be physically present to sign for a package, you can't go to them and pick it up (with USPS, you can). Instead, I must take time off from work to be home for the delivery.
