Rating process should be easier
The ratings process at reseller ratings should be much easier, and only take a minute or two. As it is you have to create an account, make a comment that is at least 50 characters long and fill out a questionnaire.
It should be like this.
Fill in a password such as the invoice number and type in a generated image password which would eliminate the login,
a comments that allows any number of characters and a 0 to 5 star rating on customer satisfaction.

Thanks for your feedback.
It's necessary for you to enter a username, password, and email address, when reviewing a store. This lets you come back later to edit your review, and it's one way that we prevent people from writing multiple reviews for the same store. Using an invoice number as a login wouldn't be very effective because people lose invoice numbers.
The 50 character minimum is designed to encourage useful reviews. Saying "I liked this store" isn't very helpful. Your post is 459 characters for instance, so I don't think 50 is unreasonable.
The survey questions that we ask take about 20 seconds to answer. They represent the bare minimum of what we think is necessary.
We're always interested in streamlining the reviews process and if we can make it easier, we will try to do so.

I though when I first hit this site that it would be useful to me in making purchase decisions.
That turns out not to be the case.
For every thoughtful review I read, there are at LEAST five that are obvious rubbish, written by clueless mouthbreathers.
I have entirely given up on this site as being useful for anything beyond venting my spleen.

Here is a simple question with a multple choice answer. Quote:
Two spheres, A and B, are simultaneously
projected horizontally from the top of a tower.
Sphere A has a horizontal speed of 40. meters
per second and sphere B has a horizontal speed
of 20. meters per second. Which statement best
describes the time required for the spheres to
reach the ground and the horizontal distance
they travel? [Neglect friction and assume the
ground is level.]
(1) Both spheres hit the ground at the same
time and at the same distance from the base
of the tower.
(2) Both spheres hit the ground at the same
time, but sphere A lands twice as far as
sphere B from the base of the tower.
(3) Both spheres hit the ground at the same
time, but sphere B lands twice as far as
sphere A from the base of the tower.
(4) Sphere A hits the ground before sphere B,
and sphere A lands twice as far as sphere B
from the base of the tower.
| Or perhaps some simple UNIX questions. Quote:
Which of the following defines a constant Max?
(a) Max db 80 (b) Max equ 80 (c) Max dw 80 (d) mov Max, 80
The feature size of a Pentium is approx.?
(a) 1 micron (b) 0.1 microns (c) 4 microns
(d) .4 microns
A 5 stage pipeline with the stages taking 1, 1, 3, 1, 1, units of time has a throughput of;
(a) 1/3 (b) 1/7 (c) 7
(d) 3
Given that dl contains 'x' which of the following will cause 'x' to be displayed;
(a) mov ah, 1h (b) mov ah, 2h (c) mov ah, 2h (d) mov ah, 0h
int 21h int 20h int 21h int 21h
| Easy questions, right?
Perhaps a correct answering of 3 out of 5 will be sufficient?
