Viewing Satisfied/Dissatisfied reviews

Not sure if someone posted this or if its something that I missed, but I think there should be a button so that we can choose to view all the "dissatisfied" posts in a row, instead of having to page through all the other posts to find them.

The reason I prefer this is because it helps lessen some stores from making fake satisfied ratings to boost their own store, in an attempt to bump off the negative ratings from the first page (typical of what usually happens).

I know Resellerratings wouldn't admit this happens, but I'd bet anything it does. From my experience there are a few stores that there is no way they should be getting the positive posts they do (and most always its reviews by 1 time posters).

We use stringent methods and criteria when evaluating potentially fraudulent reviews. If you ever spot a questionable review, we ask that you report the review for further investigation.

You can sort the reviews based upon submitted core. Scroll down a vendor review page, and you will find a section to sort reviews according to certain criteria. If you want to see the lowest scores (negative reviews), then sort by low. If want you want to see the highest scores (positive reviews), then sort by high. I personally like the sort by helpful option, as it allows you to easily find what others believe to be the most informative reviews, though be sure to closely note the review dates.

Hope this helps,

Robert Richmond

KurtS is infamous around these parts
yes, I bet this happens all the time.

This happens regularly on Ebay as well, which I clearly documented when we intervened and stopped numerous trademark violations*(fake watches) of a certain high-end watch brand. A number of less than stellar sellers will colloborate to give each other "A+++" ratings to dilute the true nature of their service problems to actual customers. Given what I've seen sofar in cyberspace, I wouldn't be all that surprised if a few vendors actively pump their ratings on these sites, given the tempations of profit.

However, if this happens on ResellerRatings, it's my belief that dishonest people are to blame--and not this service, which I hold in high regard. That said, I believe there are some controls that can be implemented to reduce this sort of abuse. I'd guess that ResellerRatings wants to maintain a high level of ease for the consumer, and keep the ratings volume (and value) high. RR might look at other sites that allow consumer ratings, such as Amazon, for ideas on member verification or "rating the raters". Not to mention, employees of these vendors should be barred from rating their own company.

*Note: I do not represent Ebay, but independent interests that monitor the Swiss watch industry and their proprietary rights.
