I'm sorry that it doesn't make sense to you. Ultimately, the numerical ratings directly reflect the customer survey responses for either lifetime, or the past six months.

Dishonest Reviews

I let you know by email a long time ago that Tiger Direct CALLED MY HOUSE the morning AFTER I posted a bad review of them.
Humberto from Tiger Direct said to me on the phone :
"What will it take to make you 'GO AWAY' & change your review on resellerratings.com ?"
He was blatant in stating that ONLY if I changed their review would I get an immediate refund on the bad MB AND they had also double billed me too.
So....Tiger Direct is NOT following YOUR rules.

I was thinking of posting a thread along this thread's topic, but since this thread is already started I will just post in it instead.

RR, I would like to see something done about letting us rerate a vendor after a period of time or at least when you update an older rating of a vendor, have it put into the front of the listings. As we have seen here with one vendor whose initials are MCS, their service has dropped dramatically over the last 6 months to a year and letting someone who rated them positively 3 years ago rate them again would help give some sense of continuity. If you don't want to let us rate a vendor more than once, at least let an amended rating be put back to the front where it will more likely be read.

For instance, I originally rated Newegg around 2003 and today I went to amend my original posting with even more good feedback for them, since they treated me so well with an RMA for components that I ordered that didn't work for what I needed. They gave me no hassle with the RMA and they also dropped the restocking charge and I would like for people reading their reviews to have a chance to see this, but since my original rating was so long ago, they will never read it because it's probably 2000-3000 reviews back. But this was a new experience for me with Newegg (the RMA) and information like this would be valuable for people who are trying to decide to use a vendor for the first time.

And one other thing I think you all need to implement is on the pages with all the stores listed would be a spot to input a particular page number in instead of having to hit the page number buttons on top. The present system worked OK a few years ago, but some letters have so many stores in them that it takes quite a while to go through the present page numbering stuff to get to the store in question. If there was a blank on the web pages where we could directly input a particular page number, it would speed up searching for a vendor or store.

Sorry to tell you but Newegg has policy to offer bribes in forms of discounts and special rebates if you change your negative review to a positive one. I even included this in one of my reviews about them and it was promptly deleted off their review page.

They offered me personally $50 in rebates to change my review. Others wrote about this in their 'edited' reviews as well.

I also got at least 3 phone calls from 'neweggs' customer satisfaction manager to the point where I had his number blocked because I told him each time to not call me.

I have had problems with this particular vendor on my last two orders with them. Looking at the overall RR score you would think they are one of the best vendors in the country. However, if you read thru the reviews you will see a different story, with many people reporting the same sorts of issues that I have had.

The question I now ask myself when looking at the overall score for any store on RR is "what does this tell me?". Well right now, I believe, it doesn't tell me very much at all.
I totally agree with this.
