I got the Emprex 8X burner a week ago. I bought some 8X Memorex + discs that the burner won't recognize. Wrote Memorex and they are replacing. The burner works well with 2.4 Verbatim + discs. I backed up a couple of movies with DVD Copy Express. Changed the bit set and flash memory on the burner, but still have the same problem. Will wait to get the new Memorex discs before determining the source of the problem. My system is a 2.4G Celeron BYO w/ 512M of ram. Cheap but functional.
