Computer Parts Trade-Up Policy
Pay attention to this! Any computer part you purchase from Elston Systems, Inc within ONE year of your purchase, you may trade in your computer part for a new one. What we do is determine what the market value of your old computer part you are trading at the time cost, then give you HALF the price in return to apply toward the purchase of a new computer part.
Example where this comes into play:
You purchase a 3D video card on 1-1-2001 for $100.00. On 12-31-2001 you decide you want a better video card. On 12-31-2001 your old video card can be purchased for brand new at a price of $75.00. So your half market value would be, $37.50 in return. You get a $37.50 in-store credit. You decide you want a bigger video card that cost $150.00 on 12-31-2001, you are required to use your in-store credit toward the purchase of a new video card, so you would owe us: $112.50 plus some loose change for Indiana Sales Tax.
You can keep doing this from year to year, so long as you have proof of purchase of ANY COMPUTER PART for up to one year. That means, you have to bring in your original sales receipt so we know when you purchased the computer from us.

They said my 2.0 version was still fair market value and let me trade my 2.0 version for a 3.1 version EVEN trade. I just had to pay for the postage both ways, $8.00 total.
Dunno if that is worth it to you or not. Their e-mail is:
