just got a new flyer in the paper and it says that starting Monday 03/31/03 they are going to have a 2.66ghz P4, 120gb hd, 256 megs ram, 16x dvd, cd burner, GeForce4 card, Win XP home, 19" monitor, thats all it says no price yet.

Yes, they had one at Christmas time as well. Started selling it the day after Thanksgiving, Black Friday.Pretty nice one, I was told.I went to the store and saw it.Didn't feel it was a need. I was wanting to build my next one, which I did.

Yea, Aldi the food store, the Black Friday computer sounded real sweet, for I think 800? fully loaded with top of the line components at that time.

Yes the same ad ran on Black Friday here in Cincinnati. What a price. At the time it sounded too good to be true. Never spoke to anyone who actually purchased the product. Although I did find the wholesalers URL.

I'm using one right now. I got it back when I couldn't build it for less than a grand.

The only thing I did to it was slam a floppy in it and pop a fan in the back.

Sorry Nebraska and Kansas is the closest to you.They are all over Europe.I heard they are the second largest grocery chain in Europe.Anyway here is a link to a picture of the PC in question.

We have aldi out here in the land of AUS too... And yep, they were selling that & similar PC's too.... Also had a laptop at one stage.... I bought my 54CM tv from aldi actually! hehe
