Fujistu Lifebooks that run on Crusoe CPUs are really good and stable. Battery lasts for up to 6 hours!
We brought two Fujistu P-2040 about a year ago and we like them.

I did a bunch of looking while bored at work and I couldn't find anything close to the deal swimboy posted. Plus that ESC place has a 8.89 lifetime Reseller Rating. Very nice. I'd definitely say check that out.... =)

Businessweek had a review of an IBM laptop that was very light. IBM tends to be a little more pricey than some of the others but it may be worth a look.

WOW! Swimboy found a great laptop AND it is very affordable! Kudos to swimboy. I have never heard of ESC but with the high rating that it has I am willing to get one.
Overall, I am looking for features first and then price. The ESC laptop has excellent features and an excellent price.
The IBM laptops are nice as well, but very expensive. I am leaning toward the ESC laptops right now because of the fact it is running a P4 and it is less expensive. If anyone has an ESC laptop I would like to hear about your experience with it. I know plenty of people that have an IBM Thinkpad and love them, so that is a factor to weigh in as well.
Again, I want to thank everyone for all of their help so far. I greatly appreciate all the info and suggestions.

Check out the Sony Vaio V505 series - $1740 to $3570 for the pre-configured ones at the Sony site. All are P4-m processors from 1.8Ghz to 2.2Ghz. A small screen though - 12.1". Only 4.3 to 5.01 lbs. http://www.sonystyle.com/is-bin/INTE...=cpu#configure
You might also want to check out accessmicro http://www.accessmicro.com/laptopg73...IP731A#product
They have a 4lb laptop with a P4 2.4Ghz, 15" TFT XGA screen. I configured one on their online screen for ~$1270. 512MB PC2100 DDR, IBM 40gb Tstar HD, WinXP Pro, SiS650 chipset with embedded 3D engine, 8x8x24 CD-RW/8x DVD-ROM Combo Drive, Onboard full duplex 10/100 Base-T ethernet, 4 USB 1.1 (drawback), 1 1394 firewire port, TV & VGA out...

unit24, those Sony's are nice! They are powerful and light. They are pricey, but it looks like a good product.
The accessmicro is a sweet price, but the resellerrating is very bad. The price is almost too good to be true! I'll look into both of them...thanks.

To Sean:
Thanks for the kudos! Please note that is not an ECS laptop, this is an Asus laptop. Go to the Asus Global website and look for the reviews. You might be able to find one for M2400e (M2 series) and you will definitely find reviews for other models. It helps if you read other languages because some reviews might not be in English.
The only weakness of M2400e is the absence of USB2.0 ports. But PCMCIA to USB2.0 adapters are readily avaialble and cheap.
Had I been employed, I would have purchased it myself a long time ago.

Decision Made
Just an update for all of you who helped me.
I ended up going with the Sony VAIO PCG-V505AX with a weight of 4.34 lbs. I was able to pick it up locally and get a warranty. I am very pleased with it so far and I would like to thank everyone who helped me when I needed it. I vow to help anyone up here whenever I can! If anyone is thinking about getting the same laptop as me feel free to e-mail me or reply to this thread for any feedback on it.
Again, thanks to everyone for their help...
