I pay 14.95 unlimited dialup, and that's next to the only option. We can get ISDN, but I haven't tried it yet. Other than that, haven't tried anything else.

Good , dependable connections. No charge for extra computers( not like rip off cable) Self installation ( not like ripoff cable) No fee for extra computers ( not like ripoff cable) Dedicated line ( not like ripoff cable) My connection , serving four computers( thru my router) cost approx. $500.00 a year ( with a FREE ethernet modem). Cable for 4 coumpters $1100.00 a year w/ all installation and extra charges( No free modem).Bellsouth's Customer service and tech support are top notch. May not be quite as fast as cable, but not having to fool with Time/Warner Cable.......PRICELESS !!!

How would they know if you have more computers connected if you use a Router? Anyways, I got 3 unique IP addresses w/ 3 computers using a Hub on Cable. Good thing AT&T never caught on... otherwise they'd charge me an extra $5 a computer. A router is far more worth it than getting an extra IP.

Its not really a deal but:
$50 a month for Optimum online 8Mb down 1 Mb up.
The advertised speed is 10 Mb down / 1 up. I DO download at 8 Mb/sec though and the 1 Mb up is constant.
| 8Mb! how the hell do you get 8Mb for $50 a month? That's 1 MB/s man!

I wasn't aware they were in the US now. When I met people with it a few years ago it was only around $35 CAN which was just over $20 US at the time.

BTW I read that as 8 million bits per second, not bytes, which is still more than 5 times faster than most cable or dsl connections.

You might also check to see if you can pick up some Wi-Fi in your area! Free and sometimes fast!
