Picked up this deal at the B&M today. Had heard about the Santa
Cruz card, and was waiting for like a $20 off deal. So this deal was
terrific. The Logitech speakers are excellent; so I'm glad CompUSA
didn't bundle this deal with lesser speakers.

I just picked it up too after hearing about it from a friend that saw this post.

Don't really need the Santa Cruz, but I did need the Z540's
Figure its like getting the Z540's for $70 bucks, which is how much they cost online shipped, and getting the cruz for $10 + $5 Tax or so.

I apparently was the first one who went to CompUSA for this deal (CompUSA couldnt beat Bestbuy here since Bestbuy has more variety and it comes first on the highway, and CompUSA have since sold out half the store to shelve Mac stuff). When I picked it up, the cashier that rung me up got confused, and I pointed out the deal marker that was in front of the speakers at the store, and the manager had to go check, and then she got confused too. By the time it got sorted out, I had the manager plus 4 of the store cashiers, who apparently had nothing better to do since no one was really there, surrounding me. The friend who pointed out this deal wanted to get one too after work, so I asked them how many they had in stock. They didnt really check for me, but there were about 20 Santa Cruz's on the shelf, and one Z540 left on the shelf (only two fit on the shelf) and two of the cashiers that mobbed me were talkin about how they were planning to buy it after they got off work.

Thanks for the deal ThomasK.

The Santa Cruz card and speaker deal is the greatest Ive seen in awhile. And if you only want one of them you only have to buy one ! thats right they ring them up as 39.99 each. So if you just want the speakers or just want the card return the other one and wala.. 39.99 Cruz card or 39.99 Speakers. I personally would keep them both its a great deal and you dont have to wait to get any money back !!

Damn... I went to CompUSA today and they were sold out... Every single store in NJ was sold out... too bad .. amazing how they sold out so fast in every location unless they only had a couple in stock at each location or the deal was a misprint . Did get the great deal on the 60 GB HD and 17" Monitor though.
Np AuraEdge.

I just(7/30/2002 at about 1000) had someone go to the CompUSA(the same one AuraEdge went to in Jersey) and she said they had lots of both the speaker and sound card left. I just got mine last night and hooked it up. Sounds nice. I was waiting for someone to upgrade my speaker system and card. This was a great deal. Thanks ThomasK.

By the way, the store we went to was in North Jersey on Rt. 46 in..Wayne or Little falls or West Paterson or somewhere around there I think, if you wanna give em a call to check stock and take a trip down there. (its the one right after the Best Buy, next to the Holiday Inn and Petco, and before the Willowbrook Mall.)

COMPUSA also has a great deal on a Universal Buslink CDR/RW 32x-12x-40x.

74.95 list
20.00 instant rebate
20.00 mail in rebate

so the drive, which comes with Nero ends up costing about 36$.

I got one

Deal goes off in a couple of days.

I picked up the 60BG Maxtor 7200 for $49.99 after rebate. Awesome price. Sold out the first day (Monday) but some stores have them still. Not available online.
