That's a nice card. I remember all praise it got back then. Good find, Doc!

I made an error posting it, though it's a great card I had mistaken it for another one. oops

The 770 was a TNT2 card

The AOpen you linked to is a TNT2 M64 card. The TNT2 is the better buy here, because the M64 performs much worse. It has half the memory thoroughput of the normal TNT2

$37 for that card is actually a pretty good buy for an old card.

Heres a better deal though

http://www.axiontech.com/cgi-local/p...t=VIACPA256MXV

$36 for a Geforce2 MX (I dont think its the MX200 version either)

MX200 = the M64 of Geforce2 MX's

wyvrn, can't see it on that link but I already knew which you were referring to - go to Newegg, video cards, Visiontek, first card - superb value IMHO (as well as many other's MHOs).

VISIONTEK Xtasy 5632 GEFORCE2 GTS-V 4X/2X 32MB DDR AGP - OEM
This VGA card offers high performance based on the GeForce2 GTS-V chipset and 32mb 256 bit DDR memory. Visiontek is the only Nvidia board partner to offer this card. Part# 72440.0 Model#: XTASY 5632 Special FedEx Saver Shipping $5.00

191 customer evaluations - 5 star rating and deserves it.

Otay, here's some linkage to the Xtasy 5632 G'force 2 card, really looks like a steal don't it ?

Hey, I've had that Viper card at work for two years, and it's been very good. It runs AutoCAD2000 very well, and did well on games like Freespace. With it my Athlon 700 outperforms our T-Bird 900's with the ATI Rage128 cards.

It's not half the card of my GeForce3 Ti500, but it's now 1/10th the cost too!
