At a quick glance the to enclosure models appear identical except for a crucial interfacing aspect: the cheaper model B is IDE to USB while the more expensive model A is SATA to USB.
Sadly, I need the more expensive model, which is also currently at a sale price. The silver lining: at least I found an enclosure I needed.
