This is indeed a great deal. I bought the same unit last month for about $30 less at Digital Megastore. At the time I was not aware that Digital Megastore was not a Yamaha authorized retailer (and Digital Megastore didn't indicate otherwise).

Yamaha only honors their warrenty for products purchased from authorized retailers. Per Yamaha's website, New Egg is an authorized retailer. (BTW, I kept the receiver anyway as I did not feel like hasseling with sending it back). The receiver sounds great and is well regarded within its class.
