Question Time;
Any particular reason for wanting SmartMedia, already got some ?
And, pictures destined for posting on the Web need to be low in resolution or you'll have to shrink them manually, so no reason to get a Multi-Megapixel camera if this is the intended usage.
If you're wanting to print Glossy Photos AND post on the Web then you do need a bit more resolution.
I've had a ton of different digital cameras, most all do very good glossy photos, just some smaller end results than others.
Here's a $100 solution, the major complaint on the reviews was the flash was too bright, needs a diffuser(paper)to keep from burning out subjects, otherwise pretty decent. It takes Compact Flash(NewEgg for cheap) Serial Port though, $25 reader needed.

Kodak DX3900 3.1mp 2X Optical 3X Digital Zoom
$345~
I have had one of these since December. The 3mp is a waste to me, I only use the 2.2mp setting for crisp pictures.
