Unfortunately, although the specs state that this hub is USB 2.0 and 1.1 compatible, it is rated at only 12mbps (1.8MBps).
According to "EverythingUSB" website,
The standard for USB 1.1 is 12mbps.
The standard for USB 2.0 is 480mbps.
This hub is NOT USB 2.0. It will work with USB 2.0 but will only transfer at 1.1 speed.
That's why it is such a low price. Powered or not, it will not transfer data fast enough to satisfy USB 2.0 devices.
NOTE: 480Mbps is actually only 40MBps. The difference is bits and bytes.
Milli Bits/second (Mbps)and Milli Bytes/second (MBps). Two different things.
