Went to site, but no mention of $30 rebate, without which this NO DEAL!!!

That is because Amazon.com is no longer listed as the actual seller due to being sold out. Look under the more buying choices section on the Amazon.com product page, where it shows Amazon.com expects to have fresh stock on 5/29. The current seller for $40.99 is instead Electronica Direct.
