Same deal or not?

How does this deal compare with the one posted on the 14th that expires on the 18th?

The same performance wise. From the hardware perspective, the 6400 deal has a better battery and larger screen.

From a design standpoint, the 6400 is more of a mainstream notebook. The 640m falls more into the "thin and light" notebook category. If weight and portability are not big concerns for you, then the 6400 is the better buy IMO.

cpu question?

Thanks for the input; i am leaning toward the 6400 but wonder whether the CPU upgrade from T2060 to T2250 is worth the extra $40. Is the delta significant?

$40 is relatively cheap for a processor upgrade, so it is worth noting. The difference is going to come down to how you intend to use the notebook.

If gaming or using professional apps, the T2250 should garner you a few percent more performance. Nothing dramatic, but still worth $40 IMO.

If you are using mostly basic apps for web browsing, text editing, etc.; then you can save $40 by going with the default T2060 processor.
