Duron 950 system, $249, Just add HDD
Decent little general purpose machine, just add HDD and monitor. Maybe a bit more RAM. SiS 730 chipset. This MIGHT also support 133 FSB, the one I built around this mobo did. Anyway, a good one for mom's e-mail machine, resellers, etc. Includes KB and mouse. http://www.computersurplusoutlet.com...PID=COM-950NHD

Surreal, the coffe hadn't all the way hit me when I posted that, where I was trying to go was to say 266 Mhz FSB. I don't have that system for comparison, gave it to a friend's daughter for college with a 1.2 Gig Athlon in it, so I'm not 100% sure it's exactly the same board. Either way, a schweet deal and a great choice for adding to the herd

Question
Tom, does that mobo have 2 IDE connectors ?
I couldn't find any info by doing a google search on K7-7810XA.
it looks like a good deal. My buddy wants to upgarde his tired 166, 32mb, 3gb desktop, and this seems ideal.
Thanks

Armadel, it may also be listed under the Amptron or ECS name. All the same stuff. If it's even vaguely like the one I had, I'm sure it has two IDE's

Cool, my GF's dad wanted me to build him an internet cruiser for under $500. You just did it for me.

Hahah, ya, too bad after the monitor and hard drive it'll only be $20. :P I can get a new volume knob, if I could find a replacement (I can't, I looked). Maybe >a< string (flatwounds are expensive!). Ah well, as long as the GF likes it, I likes it, if you get my drift. :P
