Coffee deal

I just saw on http://www.morestuff4less.com a deal on coffee at http://www.smilescoffee.com/promos/Perf/index.html It's a Gevalia-style membership. For $10.90 you get coffee samples, grinder, a mug and $50 in grocery coupons.

The name-brand coupons options include various cereals, juice, soap, toothpaste, sauces, etc, etc. And Spam! Who of us could resist? Amusingly, they also include choices of teas and coffees. What if you decide you prefer Maxwell House after all and cancel their membership because of their offer? *doh!*

The price includes the cost of cancelling the membership after you get the stuff, which you should do right away or they'll keep sending you shipments.

They don't specify the size on the coffee samples, so I'm guessing they're small. No way they'd be sending out six pounds of coffee for free. But still, you're probably not losing on the deal if you can use a grinder. Most mugs, OTOH, are a dime a dozen.

They do have a refer-a-friend deal whereby you get an extra month of free coffee if someone signs up. Since I was thinking of signing up anyway (but soon), does anyone want to refer me?

Send a message via ICQ to Skywalker[TSG]
The grinder is worth $11 - So I would say it's a good deal.

The brand, Gevalia, is a smell to be reckoned with. When I worked in a Mail Distribution Center, we handled these "shipments" on a daily basis, and you could tell exactly where the coffee was. I'm not saying it was a bad smell, but a pretty strong one.

As far as how it tastes, I can't tell, because I've never tried it, but, it could be the best tasting stuff out there.
If someone out here trys it and likes it, post it back here. I wanna know.

Its pretty good coffee. On the scale of coffees I put it above "joe muggs" coffee(coffee/book place) and below Starbucks(very expensive).

I suggest you buy bean and grind with your pretty new grinder- freshly ground is much better. You can get different roasts so you can try several and pick the best flavor for you. Be warned though this is a good deal they will want you to get monthly shipments at a cost of about $12.00 Lb. As always watch what they send you or else you might be getting something you didnt want.
