That is the date I will be entering the hospital, and undergo surgery. The type of surgery I am having done is the bariatric surgery.

I am tired of having to take so much medicine, I am also tired of hearing the snickers and very rude comments from people about myself and others who are overweight. It is not that easy to lose weight as some would think. It is not just a matter of not eating, or just saying no to food. Yes, in my case, some of the reason I am overweight is because of my food intake, but there are other reasons. Genetics for one, several of the meds I take have caused my weight to jump is another reason.

I am scared, and have every reason to be. This is major surgery, and not just for cosmetic reasons. This is for my very life....

It's pretty scary going for any kind of surgery, but Hey you'll be fine. You'll be up and about in no time, God bless

I understand well the remarks... not directly, but somebody very close to me was overweight.. (didn't help she was 6'2) and I heard the remarks and it hurt me to hear them against her.

it's all about taking care of yourself after the surgery. a lot of people continue to eat poorly and see no benefits. if you put effort into it, you'll be great in no time. good luck!
