how OLD is your KEYBOARD?

how old is YOUR keyboard?

mine is from my first puter (well the first one bought for ME) which was a Dell 400mhz with 128mb ram...in 1999.

this keyboard has been going strong since then, first with Doom 2, then Unreal Tournament (GOTY ed), now Counter-Strike v1.5, MOHAA, RTCW, BF1942, etc.

it's well-worn, and the keys are nice and shiny.

Why not read the TechIMO review of my current keyboard?

lol I'm exhausted, but find this late-night banter to be more fun than taking my socks off and going to sleep

I have 2 keyboards. One one the desk and one for gaming. The gaming one is my oldest at about 4 years. I took it apart and painted it and it still works fine.

mine is probably around 7 months old

i love it, it was $10, or was it 15? still, under $20 at kmart, its simple, and straight
not that wavy crap thats everywhere and is a pain to use

none of those crappy extra buttons i never use, like dvd.. why would i want to take the time to look at my keyboard to pause when i can take half the time and click pause, sheesh

just the essential keys, the way it should be

Mine's 4-5 years old, logitech cordless desktop pro. It's excellent.

It's actually so old that logitech doesn't even support it anymore, newer drivers do not recognize the cordless mouseman wheel mouse

Same situation here... Logitech cordless desktop pro!

Great setup, serves me well, but I don't bother with software for it - I never use the extra keys, so why customise them? And I can guess if caps lock is on

I use the playback control buttons (well I would, if they worked, but it seems they don't work with newer itouch either )

And the onscreen volume displayer is good. Though I'd throw the capslock osd away, too
Glad they don't put the icons in systray anymore.. There used to be icons for whether numlock/capslock whatever was on.

I still have my old keyboard that I got with my P200 (Its not even MMX!) Gateway (HEY back off it was a long time ago )

I dont' use it much anymore but only because I wanted a natural keyboard.

And yes this thread screams of boredom
